NEW Pilates classes in Tattenhall, Cheshire

Mat-Pilates classes are starting again with Wendy Broad in Tattenhall on 20 July 2021 at 12.45pm and 2.00pm. There is an emphasis on developing natural balanced posture, core stability, balance, coordination and body awareness for functional movement in daily life. Class sizes are limited to 12 people and Covid-safe practices will continue for the foreseeable future.

4 week block

Price: £36 for 4-week block, paid in advance- BOOKING ESSENTIAL

Dates: July 20, 27, Aug 3, 10

12.45-1.45pm– Easy Pilates/ Foundation Pilates/ Alexander Technique Pilates (AT-Pilates)

(for people preferring to focus on body awareness or for those who have not exercised for some time)

2.00-3.00pm – Improvers-Intermediate level mixed ability class

(for people with a regular weekly Pilates practice during the pandemic)

Mat Pilates Classes

These classes are for people who are comfortable with exercises undertaken when standing, kneeling, sitting on the floor, working in squat and lunge position, working on all fours and lying on the floor on your back, front and sides. There will be exercises to develop core stability, balance and coordination, muscle tone and bone strength as well as mobilising joints, stretching and lengthening muscles, with relaxation at the end of the class.

Older Adult Pilates

These classes are recommended for people with reduced mobility and people who are not comfortable lying on their back, front or side on the floor, or kneeling, sitting on the floor, exercising in squat and lunge position or exercising on all fours. The exercises are designed to be done when sitting on a chair and when standing with a chair as a support placed in front of you or at your side. There is no floor work on a mat. Exercises aim to develop core stability, muscle tone, bone strength, balance and coordination, as well as mobilising joints and stretching and lengthening muscles. There is time for relaxation at the end of the class.

One-to-one lessons & Postural Assessments

The initial session including a postural assessment lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes. All other sessions last for 1 hour.

Initial session: £50 (including a postural assessment)

Subsequent sessions: £40 (for 1 hour)
